Your original files are kept unchanged. Editing controls apply when you export; the source preview plays a listening copy of the source, without export effects.

Formats, privacy & compatibility

Conversion runs locally. Multi-channel sources are mixed down to mono or stereo. Some formats use a supported sample rate automatically. Supported files depend on the bundled codecs and the file itself; protected or damaged files may not open.

Lossy formats such as MP3 and AAC cannot regain detail already removed from the original. Re-encoding can reduce quality.

Exporting removes the original embedded tags and cover art. Only audio is included.

Each clip can be up to 30 minutes; combined audio can be up to 60 minutes. Large files need memory and time. Keep this tab open while your audio is being prepared.
